Dr. Philip Milln is a general adult psychiatrist. He was trained at St Thomas' Hospital, London under Dr. John Pollitt, and was a lecturer at St Georges Hospital under Professor Paykel.

He spent 2 ½ years with the Medical Research Council studying mood disorders under Dr. Alec Coppen. He started a mother and baby facility at Springfield Hospital in London and opened a behaviour therapy unit in London under Dr. John Cobb.
He was appointed a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychiatry, in Southampton in 1983 and moved to The Priory Hospital in Marchwood in 1990. There he opened the eating disorders unit & the mother and baby unit, continuing his work in general adult psychiatry. He has been on the board of examiners at The Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1997 and works with the GMC on the fitness to practice panel.
He is married to a Southampton GP, and is secretly pleased that his three children have moved on! He is also a keen sailor and a fisherman.
