A commitment to your ongoing recovery
At Manor Clinic, we are committed to your ongoing recovery, which is why we are proud to offer free aftercare for life to all individuals who complete a 28-day programme with us. When you receive treatment at Manor Clinic, you become part of our family. We believe that achieving sobriety is something to be celebrated, and that those who reach this life-changing goal should have ongoing support for the rest of their lives.
Going home after receiving treatment can be one of the most difficult points in a person’s recovery. You will be faced with having to return to individuals or situations that could have triggered your addiction in the first place, and be expected to manage these challenges. When you are used to receiving 24-hour care and attention, this can be a daunting prospect. Given the fact that patient-centred care is at the core of everything we do at Manor Clinic, we are dedicated to empowering our patients to live the healthy and sober lives they deserve, and we recognise that the key to making this happen is by offering continued support.
We ensure that you have a firm continuing care plan in place before you leave treatment and this forms a core element of the programme at Manor Clinic. As well as being encouraged to follow their personalised plan following treatment, patients also benefit from our comprehensive aftercare offering. This includes:
Weekly aftercare sessions
Held on Wednesdays from 10am until 4.15pm, our weekly aftercare sessions allow our aftercare patients to come together to process their post-treatment experiences, learn new methods for coping with stress, and provide support and encouragement to each other in a safe, compassionate and highly supportive environment.
Our aftercare groups are led by members of our expert therapy team, who are always on-hand to support alumni with any difficulties that they may be experiencing. These sessions are hugely beneficial as they allow individuals to form and maintain relationships with lots of different people, all of whom may be at different stages in their recovery journey, as well as receive feedback and inspiration from others who know first-hand the obstacles associated with overcoming an addiction.
Access to 24-hour telephone support
As well as our weekly aftercare groups, we also offer 24-hour telephone support, enabling you to speak with a member of our specialist team any time you may need to.
We understand that maintaining abstinence outside of our treatment centre can be difficult from time to time, as your primary living environment can present a number of challenges and triggers. This is why we are on-hand to support our former patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; you can contact our staff day or night to discuss any difficulties that you’re currently experiencing.
We purposefully offer this service as a means of letting our former patients know that we will remain an ongoing and constant source of support in their lives.
In addition to the structured support that we offer through our weekly aftercare groups and 24/7 telephone support, we also hold a number of alumni events each year. These events, which include a summer BBQ and Christmas party, are a chance for former patients to socialise, interact with one another and celebrate their recovery successes in a safe and positive environment.
