Helping my patients “see the truth” about what their addictions have been doing to their lives is a passion and is of course the start of any recovery story. This process is difficult, sad and sometimes shaming, but once achieved can illicit massive changes for the individual brave enough to go there.
Sarina Wheatman is the Addictions Programme Manager at The Manor Clinic, and has worked at here since 2011, bringing with her a wealth of experience from many years of working with addictions, mainly in the UK but also in Jersey and Holland.
Sarina helps run the inpatient treatment groups and also provides training on addictions for all staff members. She is in recovery herself and has enjoyed many years drug and alcohol free, using the methods she teaches at the clinic.
Sarina has been a fully qualified member of (FDAP) Federation of drug and alcohol professionals since 2000. She also holds an accreditation for (EFT) Emotional Freedom Technique.
Sarina has written a book entitled “Twisted Wires” about addictions/treatment and recovery. It was published in May 2017 and is available on Amazon.com. She is currently working on the sequel to her first book. She writes articles for Top Priority on a variety of subjects to do with addictions.
